A Long Tradition of Service.
Organized in 1861, Zion’s Reformed Church has its heritage in the German Reformed tradition of the former Evangelical and Reformed Church, now the United Church of Christ.
Since 1887 we have worshiped at our present location. From the beginning Zion’s Reformed UCC has found its identity and mission in the life of Greenville. In this community, we continue to explore and discover what it means to love and care for our neighbors, as we strive to be the people of God, faithfully witnessing to the love of God, in Jesus Christ.
We are…
SMALL ENOUGH to be a family that greets you with warmth.
LARGE ENOUGH to have vital ministry and vigorous program.
INDEPENDENT ENOUGH to be self-governing and autonomous.
CONNECTED ENOUGH to be part of the mainline denomination with national and international missions.
VARIED ENOUGH so people of differing backgrounds, young and old, can know there is a place here for everyone.
LIBERAL ENOUGH to demand no credal tests of faith or orthodoxy.
Yet…
CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH to affirm Jesus CHRIST as Lord and personal Savior, and resound His call to faith, justice, mercy and love.
